Google Expeditions - virtually visiting places all around the world
On May 9th all KS3 students took part in the Google Expeditions Pioneer Program.
Google Expeditions is a virtual reality teaching tool that lets you lead or join immersive virtual trips all over the world — get up close with historical landmarks, dive underwater with sharks, even visit outer space! It aims to give students a deeper understanding of the world beyond the classroom.
St Dunstan’s was lucky enough to be one of the first schools in the country to be able to use these devices as the Pioneer Program moves around the UK. The students were also joined by nearly one hundred Year 5 pupils from St Benedict’s Junior School and West Pennard Primary School.
It was a fantastic experience for all involved.
